You can now apply for a gas connection through the eGov Mobile app.

Now, homeowners and property owners can obtain technical conditions for connecting to natural gas online through the eGov Mobile application, reports Kazpravda.kz citing JSC "NIT"

The service is available to consumers of JSC "QazaqGaz Aimaq" and is provided free of charge to individuals. The technical conditions for gas connection are a document that confirms the possibility of connecting a property to the gas distribution system.

The service can be utilized by the property owner. To do this, the user must fill in all mandatory fields of the form displayed in the application and confirm the information about the registered rights to the property.

To access the service, the user needs to:

- log in to the eGov Mobile application and navigate to the “Services” section - “Real Estate and Utilities” - “Issuance of technical conditions for connecting to gas distribution networks”;

- specify the type of property and select the property for connection;

- attach the technical passport of the property;

- indicate the type of technical condition, the reason for connecting to the gas supply systems, and the gas consumption;

- choose and add the type of gas equipment, specify the quantity, and click “Continue”;

- sign the application using Face ID/Touch ID.

If the application is filled out correctly, the result of the service will be the issuance of technical conditions, provided by the gas distribution organization (JSC "QazaqGaz Aimaq") or a reasoned refusal.

According to current legislation in the field of natural monopolies, a refusal to issue technical conditions is allowed in the following cases:

- absence of free and available capacities, storage, locations, and network throughput of JSC "QazaqGaz Aimaq" necessary for providing the required volume of regulated service;

- absence of networks of JSC "QazaqGaz Aimaq" or other property necessary for providing the regulated service.

The timeframes for providing the service depend on the complexity of the property: for technically simple properties — 5 working days, for complex ones — 10 working days.

This new functionality was implemented in collaboration with the Committee of State Services of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, JSC "National Information Technologies", the Ministry of Energy, and JSC "QazaqGaz Aimaq".
