AI-Sana: The Ministry of Science has unveiled an innovative program focused on artificial intelligence.

The Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Sayasat Nurbek, presented the pilot program for artificial intelligence, AI-Sana, as reported by Kazpravda.kz with reference to the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

AI-Sana is a unique pilot program aimed at the comprehensive development of artificial intelligence skills among students. It encompasses 100,000 participants, focusing on unlocking the potential of AI in the national economy and supporting technological entrepreneurship. Special attention is given to the creation of DeepTech startups, which can serve as a driver for Kazakhstan's technological and economic growth.

“The program was developed with the involvement of international experts. A leading role in its formation was played by Paul Kim, the Chief Technology Officer and Associate Dean of Stanford Graduate School of Education. The development also utilizes the expertise of specialists from Stanford University, Imperial College London, King’s College London, the Royal Academy of Engineering, as well as the innovative platforms SETsquared and UKSPA. These partners provide access to cutting-edge knowledge and best practices, allowing the program to combine global experience with local needs,” – it is noted in the information.

AI-Sana includes the integration of educational, research, and applied approaches aimed at:

- Developing fundamental knowledge and skills in the field of AI.

- Training specialists for the implementation of AI in key sectors of the economy.

- Creating a sustainable ecosystem that fosters the generation of DeepTech startups based at universities and research institutes.

The program aims to transform approaches to education and research, allowing universities to shift from traditional educational formats to research-oriented models.

The ministry added that AI-Sana will become one of the main drivers and a cornerstone for forming the ideology of a startup nation.

The project contributes to the development of human capital, the implementation of high-tech solutions, and the support of technological entrepreneurship, creating a platform ecosystem for the formation of a knowledge-intensive economy of the future.
