As reported by the speaker of the upper chamber, Maulen Ashimbaev, a proposal from the president regarding the dismissal of two Supreme Court judges has been submitted to the Senate.
Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council, Dmitry Malakhov, spoke on this matter. He stated that the proposal for the dismissal of Yeraliyeva Botagoz and Nurychev Kambar from their positions as Supreme Court judges was made in connection with their resignation.
"Both judges have reached retirement age, with 28 and 37 years of judicial experience, respectively. They enjoy well-deserved respect within the judicial community.
"We ask for support for the president's proposal to dismiss Yeraliyeva and Nurychev from their positions as Supreme Court judges due to their resignation," Malakhov read.
The Senate supported the president's proposal.
It should be noted that, according to the Constitutional Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On the Judicial System and the Status of Judges of the Republic of Kazakhstan," judges of all courts in the Republic of Kazakhstan have a unified status and differ only in their powers.
