It has been clarified that in the Eskeldin district, the police, in collaboration with the prosecutor's office and the DKNB, have dismantled an underground laboratory for the production of "synthetics."
"Two foreigners arrived in Kazakhstan at the direction of their 'curator' to organize illegal production. During the search, equipment for drug manufacturing was found, along with more than 6.4 kg of mephedrone and a 200-liter reactor containing residues of precursors for further production," the agency reported.
Currently, the foreigners and their accomplice, a resident of Astana, have been taken into custody.
The law enforcement officers also added that efforts to identify other accomplices are ongoing.
It was also reported today that on December 15, the KNB department for the Kostanay region, in coordination with the prosecutor's office, halted the activities of an underground laboratory for the production of synthetic drugs.
According to the KNB, during the manufacturing of psychotropic substances, two citizens of Kazakhstan were detained and taken into custody under court sanction.
