In the Zhetysu region, out of 192 settlements scheduled for gasification, 63 have been gasified to date, including 30 settlements that gained access to gas since the beginning of the year. As a result, the level of gasification has reached 56.5%, providing access to blue fuel for 394,900 residents. This was announced during a briefing by the region's akim, Beybit Isabaev, held today at the press center under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
According to the regional leader, the construction of 21 facilities will continue next year, and the construction of an additional 42 will commence. By the end of 2025, all 126 settlements from the Kerbulak district to Taldykorgan will be gasified. Consequently, over 500,000 residents, or 71.4% of the total population, will gain access to gas.
It was noted that on August 19, the construction of the Taldykorgan — Usharal main gas pipeline began. The project is expected to be completed next year. Simultaneously, the development of gas distribution networks for 66 settlements in the Aksu, Sarkand, and Alakol districts has started.
"By 2029, it is planned to gasify all 192 settlements in the region and ensure gas access for over 642,000 residents, or 91.9% of the total population," — summarized Zhetysu akim Beybit Isabaev.
