Kazakh products are set to be promoted in the Grandiose retail chain in the United Arab Emirates, as reported by the business information center Kapital.kz, citing the press service of the Ministry of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan.

“The Kazakh delegation, led by Minister of Trade Arman Shakkaliev, held successful negotiations with the management of leading retail chains in the UAE — LuLu Group International and Grandiose. During the meeting, the parties discussed expanding the supply of Kazakh products, promoting them in the UAE market, as well as implementing the concept of Kazakhstan as a food hub,” the Ministry of Trade reported.

Arman Shakkaliev noted that Kazakhstan is ready to offer the UAE a wide range of high-quality products, including meat, honey, caviar, and chocolate. One of the key topics of the meeting was the organization of a joint marketing campaign aimed at increasing the recognition and popularity of Kazakh products in the UAE market by 2025. The parties also discussed the prospects for collaboration within private label brands (PLB), which will allow consumers to access environmentally friendly and high-quality products from Kazakhstan.

During the visit of the Kazakh delegation to LuLu, a tasting corner was set up where guests could sample Kazakh products and dishes made from them. The menu featured traditional Kazakh pilaf and cheese dishes prepared with Kazakh lamb, which is already available in the supermarkets of this chain.

The delegation then visited the Grandiose chain, where Kazakh products were showcased on the shelves, including candies, baked goods, rice, honey, caviar, salt, and water. Meetings were held with category managers of the chain to discuss the sale of products and further expansion of the assortment of Kazakh goods.

As part of the meeting, a memorandum was signed with the Grandiose retail chain, under which the parties agreed to strengthen efforts to place Kazakh products on the shelves of Grandiose.

“Today, we held a presentation of Kazakh products in the UAE retail chains and organized a roadshow for key export products such as confectionery, honey, dry camel milk, and others. This serves as a promotional campaign for the largest retail chain LuLu, which operates in all Persian Gulf countries. We are confident that this effort will yield significant results, and soon Kazakh goods will occupy a worthy place on the shelves not only in the UAE but also in other Persian Gulf countries,” emphasized Arman Shakkaliev.
