Deputy Defense Minister Darkhan Akhmediev engaged in discussions with IT company managers regarding the digital transformation of the Armed Forces. This was reported by the ministry's press service.
The conversation involved not only engineers delegated by various IT communities but also representatives from the departments of information technology, communications, state secret protection, and the development and implementation of unmanned aerial systems within the Ministry of Defense.
"We decided to uphold the tradition of sharing our plans for the upcoming year so that IT companies can be prepared to participate in the implementation of our projects," said the deputy minister.
Representatives from the defense ministry informed those present about the plans and procedures for implementing IT projects within the Ministry of Defense for the year 2025.
The deputy defense minister, D. Akhmediev, identified the automation of command and control systems (ACS) for troops as a priority area for the digitalization of the defense ministry in 2025. The development of ACS for Air Defense Forces, as well as its establishment and implementation in the Navy and Ground Forces, is planned.
An information and communication infrastructure will be created to equip command posts of the Armed Forces, branches of troops, and military units.
Addressing these issues involves the development of information systems, technical maintenance, and support for the information and communication infrastructure of command posts across the Armed Forces, branches of troops, and military units. Construction and equipping of mobile data processing centers will be carried out, along with the acquisition of computing and peripheral equipment.
Thus, the defense ministry is prepared to encourage industry representatives involved in the development and implementation of IT solutions, and domestic companies, as the discussion revealed, can share their expertise in creating new software products.
